Beware Of The Heresy To Hate Homosexuals
By David J. Stewart | February 2019
Galatians 5:14, “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
There is not a more unscriptural, self-righteous and hypocritical heresy than the teaching that Christians are supposed to hate homosexuals. I am appalled at the level of ignorance in some professed Christians. Our text Bible verse plainly commands every believer to “LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF,” which includes all mankind. You cannot fulfill the inspired Word of God apart from loving everybody! I don't care how evil, repulsive and ungodly a person becomes, you cannot hate them and be right with God. You may hate everything about them. You may hate their character. You may hate their poor attitude. You may hate their ungodliness (and you should). You may hate the way they look. You may hate their personality. You may hate what they did to you or a loved one. You may hate their sinful choices in life. You may hate everything about them, but YOU CANNOT HATE THE PERSON and be right with God as a born-again Christian!
There are people whom I cannot stand in this world. I don't like them nor do I want to be around them, and I have a hard time bringing myself to pray for them, except for God to humble them and teach them a lesson, but I still choose to love them unconditionally with God's love. This is the right thing to do! Hatred breeds more contempt and hatred, and I want no part of that wickedness!!! If nothing else, I can pray for God's will to be done in a certain person's life, whether good or bad. That is God's department.
Justice and Love Are Not the Same
I think a lot of people wrongly assume that loving somebody means accepting them, or looking the other way concerning their sins or wrong doing, but that is not love. A judge can sentence a man to the electric chair for a crime, and yet still love that man with God's love. Justice is separate from love, but co-exist. There can be no love without justice. When someone commits crime and that criminal is sentenced to death, but then is kept alive in a prison cell for 15 years, the family of the victim suffers. That is not love! There is little love in American society today with regard to state and government laws. Laws often protect the guilty and make the innocent suffer.
I just read in the news that the Satanic Temple organization (infamous for their statue of Lucifer in Arkansas), sued the state of Missouri concerning abortion rights. The Satanic punks want to enable teens to have abortions without a waiting period of 72 hours, informed consent and other safeguards. What monsters! Our U.S. laws protect punks like that![1] No one has a right to murder babies! It is unthinkably evil to allow any teenager to get an abortion without parental consent, when that same teenager couldn't go on a high school trip anywhere without parental consent.
We can love everyone, despite their impending judgment from God. After all, isn't that the whole idea behind winning souls? There will be many believers at the Judgment Seat of Christ, who will receive no rewards from God, because they lived a wasted life on earth. 1st Corinthians 3:15, “If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” Some believers fall away from growth, due to persecution (Luke 8:13). Other believers fall away from spiritual growth, due to being choked by the cares and riches of this life (Luke 8:14). So if most believers don't make it to maturity, how can we expect the unsaved to grow at all? 1st Peter 4:18, “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” It is literally a miracle of God that anyone ever gets saved (John 1:13-14). So what right do we have to ostracize homosexuals from hearing the Gospel?
And for that matter, what right does anyone have to say that God's hates homosexuals? If that be true, then God must also hate fornicators, gossipers, drunkards, liars, prostitutes and covetous people! In fact, if God hates a single sinner, then He must also hate all sinners, because He is not a respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). I have a hard time gasping that Pastor Charles Spurgeon actually taught Christ didn't die for all men. John MacArthur and Fred Phelps teach the same Calvinist heresy. I tell you truthfully from the Word of God that Christ died for all humanity! John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” You cannot interpret “the world” as anything other than including everyone!
We see the great heart of God again in 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” The very reason for which the Lord is delaying His return is so that more sinners will come to repentance! By the way, this Scripture passage also shows the need for repentance in salvation. Repentance is simply “a change of mind” unto the Gospel itself, not turning away from sinful ways. We are saved solely by believing, but repentance facilitates believing the Gospel. God is not willing that any should perish, which of necessity MUST include homosexuals. God hates sin, but He loves people. If God hated sinful people, then He would have to hate everybody, because we are all sinners.
Furthermore, if Jesus only loves sinners whose sins have been washed away by His precious blood, then He would have to hate all unsaved people, regardless of what sins they've committed. To narrow-out homosexuals alone, teaching that God hates them and has given up on them as reprobates, makes absolutely no theological sense. The truth is that the false teaching of hating homosexuals is rooted in mere uncomfortable feelings against homosexuality in general. It is a disgusting thing, I agree, but sodomites and lesbians are no different than any other group of sinners (as regards sin itself). It is a common assumption that homosexuality is the lowest any person can go in sin, but I don't think that is true. I think it is much worse for the powers behind the banking institution to knowingly steal people's homes, which is what they did through the Adjustable Rate Mortgage scam a decade ago. I think it is much worse for Baptist pastors to knowingly remain indifferent, toward the hundreds of counterfeit Bible versions today flooding into the churches. I cannot think of anything more evil than a pastor, who ought to know better than anybody else, that doesn't care.
We Ought To Love Everybody As God Does
Critics of what I am teaching (the homo haters) will run to the Imprecatory Prayers of David in the Psalms. Listen to what David prayed to God, asking the Lord to bash their teeth out of their mouths...
Psalms 58:1-7, “Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.”
You must keep in mind that David is speaking from the standpoint of a righteous man, who is angry at the wickedness of the wicked person. A learned person of the Scriptures understands that David didn't hate these people, he hated what they had become! I know because I feel the same way. When I read about the wicked, and how they persecute the righteous, I long to see their judgment. When I hear in the news what evil men do to innocent people, committing heinous crimes, I desire to see harsh judgment come upon them swiftly, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth! Sadly, such judgment doesn't exist in America's ungodly court system today. Albeit, I do not hate anyone, not even the worst of criminals, who deserve to die and should right away!
It is a mistake, and gross theological incompetence, to define God's attitude toward sinners based solely upon David's imprecatory prayers. Galatians 5:14, “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” The preceding Scripture does not give any exceptions to the rule. We are not commanded to only love law abiding citizens. We are not commanded to only love the loving neighbour, but all of our neighbors. During the Iraqi War after the horrifying 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York city, the general attitude in America was one of hostility against the Iraqi people. Literally, and wickedly, hundreds of millions of Americans hated and sanctioned the murder of 1,455,590 Iraqi citizens in cold blood, based upon a fabricated lie by the Bush Administration that Iraqi had Weapons of Mass Destruction! No WMD's were ever found!!! Americans are arrogant, thinking they can bully the nations of the world, with no regret nor consequences; but they are so very wrong! One day Russia is going to nuke the United States, and we're going to get what we have deserved for a very long time, because of our meddling.
Some of the Most Wicked People Today Are Professed Christians
To hate a particular group of sinners; such as, homosexuals, is to put one's self in the place of God. Who are you to decide which sins are worse than others? No doubt, the homosexual community are a defiant bunch of sinners against a holy God. But may I remind you that so also are the Italian mob, and the Greek mob, and the Irish mob, and the Roman Catholic Vatican! What gives anyone the right to write-off the homosexual community as being hardened sinners beyond the hope of the Gospel, when Sin City Las Vegas is just as wicked! Should we not bother to witness to anyone in Las Vegas? Should we avoid soul-winning in Hollywood or San Francisco? I mean, where do we draw the line concerning who is, or isn't, a reprobate beyond hope of salvation? No human being has that right!
It is the same arrogance as those false prophets who falsely claim that salvation can be lost. How much sin can a person commit before they lose God's promise of salvation to them that believe (1st Corinthians 1:21b)? According to the Holy Bible, salvation can never be forfeited, jeopardized nor lost. Once saved always saved (or, OSAS). I like to say, if saved always saved! It is a false doctrine to teach that a person can lose what was never theirs to give in the first place, just as it is a false doctrine to say that Christians should hate homosexuals. No, we are commanded by God to love our neighbors, all of them! If you do not love every homosexual, you do not have Jesus' love in you! What saith the Scripture? John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Only a corrupt theologian or lousy Bible student would dare limit God's love for “the world” to only believers or a less sinful group of people. The truth is that CHRIST DIED FOR ALL MEN!!!
Some of the most wicked people in this world—and this includes neo-evangelical Christians today who are indifferent toward the counterfeit Bible versions—are blessed and prosperous in the world. That in no way indicates that they are right with God. The world is filled with successful devils! Oftentimes the righteous suffer in poverty. One's social standing, annual income, size of home, health nor anything else of material worth can be used to gauge what God thinks about them! John the Baptist was the greatest human ever born among women (Matthew 11:11), and yet was so poor that he owned NOTHING! Wealth has always gotten in the way of serving God, with few exceptions.
Ozzy Osbourne serves the Devil through his heavy-metal rock music, but he has a net worth of $220,000,000! Does that makes Ozzy right with God because he is wealthy? Of course not. So just because some apostate Bible college president or Bible college vice-president, gets paid a ridiculously high 6-digit salary, doesn't mean God is blessing those spoiled men. Nor does it mean that they have made wise decisions. It just means that they are part of a clever racket nowadays to make money, exploiting the Lord's good name (i.e., Christianity) to do it! I loath the abuse of Christianity by professed Christians today. Their names all belong in the Hall Of Shame! I'm talking about the Bob Jones University crowd, Pensacola Christian College, Ambassador Bible College and Moody Bible Institute, to name but a few Bible-inspiration-denying institutions today. Please beware of any so-called “Bible college” that denies the inspiration of the King James Bible, because that Satanic mindset is behind the never-ending rash of new Bible translations being published in America!
There is not a homosexual for whom Christ didn't die on the cross! I love everybody, without exception. I don't like some people. There are some people that I won't associate with. There are some people that I would like to see in prison. There are some people who need to suffer to humble their haughty pride. Nevertheless, I still love them with God's unconditional love. I just decided years ago to love everybody!!!
