Alex Jones Is Wrong About The Rapture!

By David J. Stewart | August 2012

Is Alex Jones a born-again Christian or a religious humanist?

Alex Jones - American Hero!       I learned from my pastor Dr. Jack Hyles (1926-2001) decades ago to be loyal to truth and principle, and not to men nor institutions. Everywhere I go today, I hear people praising one another for the sake of cooperation, personal gain or acceptance. I refuse to go along to get along. The Bible teaches for Christians to be divided over truth instead of united by error.

I am grateful for Alex's eye-opening videos, hard work and patriotism. I believe Alex is sincere, but stubborn and lacking spiritual insight. Alex continually says that his show is secular, yet he regularly teaches spiritual doctrines that are unbiblical and dangerous. As a God-fearing Christian and soldier of Jesus Christ, I have to contend for the Christian faith. I want people to listen to Alex Jones, but at the same time I have to warn Alex's tens-of-millions of listeners that he is theologically flawed, horribly so. When any man teaches doctrine, he is treading onto holy ground. Every believer has a Scriptural mandate to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3).

The MP3 clip that you are hearing in the background is from The Alex Jones Show was aired on August 14, 2012. Alex makes some disturbing statements (typed out below) about 50 minutes into the daily broadcast. I have listened to The Alex Jones Show regularly since 2002. Alex often bashes preachers, in particular Baptist preachers. If there's one group of people who we ought to uplift instead of bash—it's preaching preachers! I've never heard Alex say anything good about preachers. Why doesn't Alex criticize ACDC and Led Zeppelin? I thank God for the faithful preachers all across America who still haven't bowed their knee to Baal in apostasy. 1st Kings 19:18, “Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.”

501c3 Is A Business, Not a Church!

I AGREE WITH MOST OF THE FOLLOWING! I don't agree with Alex attacking the doctrine of the pre-tribulation Rapture. He's wrong. The Bible plainly teaches a pre-tribulation Rapture, as you will learn in a moment.

Although state-licensing of churches is unbiblical, that doesn't mean that all such organizations are fake or operated by bad people. Not at all. All that 501c3 means is that it is a business. This is not a church. A church is a called out group of believers who assemble together for the work of Christ. If two or more born-again Christians meet together in Jesus' name, the Lord is in the midst (Matthew 18:20). A New Testament Church may operate under the umbrella of a 501c3 entity. It is unbiblical. It is wrong. The Church is entirely separate from the 501c3 shell. A 501c3 business could never be a part of the Church, not could the Church ever be a state-licensed 501c3. The State has no business controlling the churches. It is unscriptural. The government did this to control the churches, threatening to remove their tax-exempt status if they dare publicly go against the government in their teachings and activities. A 501c3 unscripturally yokes churches together with the government.

So with this information in mind, here is Alex Jones. On the August 14, 2012 broadcast Alex states:

“The churches are under 501c3, Romans 13, government control. They're not even churches—they're government run charities. And I don't care if you walk into the Methodist or if you walk in a Baptist church—I've been in all of 'em.

You're gonna to hear: 'Government is your god—and we're about to be Raptured—so do what government says.' And those preachers are reading off a script that their denominational heads were given by the government. These are not churches! These are like the churches they allowed to stay in effect in the Soviet Union. And they're all out there saying, 'Alex is gonna to Hell.' I see 'em online, because he says, 'Speak out against evil.'

You haven't read the Bible. You're cowardly men and women. And you're going to squeal and beg when the New World Order hurts you real bad. Ok, there isn't a Rapture coming—that's all a New World Order lie, so you lay down and go along with it. Ok, when the Rapture comes later, after it all happens, you ain't going!”

I also don't like how Alex completely discredits all churches by spewing contempt and rhetoric against churches in general. There's a hateful spirit when Alex blasts churches, which certainly appears to be contempt in general against the New Testament Church. Alex has tens-of-millions of listeners and most of them are not saved. Alex professes to be a Christian and yet he does more to discourage people from going to Church than anyone I know. Yes, 501c3 is evil. This is the state-licensing of churches as non-profit corporations (businesses).

I'm not writing this defense of the Christian faith to attack Alex Jones; but rather, to enlighten Alex's tens-of-millions of fans to THE TRUTH of God's Word. The Bible disagrees with Alex. In fact, there will be a Rapture and it will take place BEFORE the 7-year Tribulation. A Post-Tribulation Rapture Is Unscriptural (the Bible teaches a Pre-Tribulation Rapture).

Alex accuses saints who believe in a pre-tribulation Rapture of being “cowardly men and women.” Alex alleges that they are using the pre-tribulation Rapture as an excuse not to fight against the forming New World Order. I understand why Alex is upset, because there are a lot of believers who have the pathetic attitude that they're leaving soon, so why take a stand? Such an attitude is sinful, irresponsible and unbiblical. Alex is upset over the lack of involvement by most Christians in fighting the good fight of faith. A am too! The Bible plainly teaches in Ephesians 6:13 that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but AGAINST THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD.

The danger of what Alex Jones is teaching is that he blames and demonizes the Biblical doctrine of the pre-tribulation Rapture (but that's NOT the problem). Alex is misled on the issue. I hate 501c3 licensing too. It's evil. The Clergy Response Teams are cowardly and apostate, as Alex says. I'm all for unlocking minds and waking people up, but blaming the Biblical doctrine of the pre-tribulation Rapture is not the cause of America's woes.

Alex has not studied the Bible, yet he makes bold spiritual statements continually. He ought to put up or shut up. Study your Bible or be quiet. The Bible warns about answering a matter before hearing it. Proverbs 18:13, “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.” Alex hasn't studied the issue. Alex says that a 5-year-old can read the Bible and conclude a post-tribulation Rapture, but that's not true. 1st Corinthians 2:14-16 says that the Bible must be spiritually discerned and I seriously doubt if any 5-year-old has the ability to discern such matters. We're not just supposed to read the Bible casually and decide what is correct without studying the Scriptures. That's how heresies are born.

For example: Many people go around quoting Jesus' Words in Matthew 7:1, “Judge not that ye be not judged.
That's probably the only Bible verse they know, which they heard from some other critic. But Jesus said to judge in John 7:24, “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” Jesus said to judge righteousness judgment. This is one example of how people make fools out of themselves, and damn themselves, by not studying the Bible. People who don't study the Bible ought to be quiet, so their woeful ignorance doesn't show.

The Bible says to TAKE HEED how you build. 1st Corinthians 3:10, “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.” God has rules to follow, which if we don't, then our labors are in vain. 2nd Timothy 2:5, “And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.” You're not serving God unless you're preaching the Gospel. Philippians 2:16, “Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” Alex Jones is running in vain because he is not holding forth the Word of Life (the Gospel). It's a matter of faith. Do we have faith?

Alex Jones would contend that he is serving God; but of all the thousands of hours that I've listened to his show since 2002 I've never heard him share the Gospel that Jesus Christ died, was buried and rose again. I heard a caller thank Alex for preaching the Gospel every day. Alex, preach the Gospel? Alex Jones Does NOT Preach The Gospel. Alex would argue that his show is secular; but Alex's show is VERY religious! Alex touches about doctrinal subjects frequently. He misinterprets the Bible often. Alex uses the Bible as a crutch, but God meant for It to be our food (Matthew 4:4).

The Harm Of Teaching A Post-tribulation Rapture

The teaching of the Rapture compels men to live pure even as Christ is pure...

1st John 3:2-3, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”

Now if the Rapture doesn't happen until after the Tribulation, then the saints can party and live in sin, because you know that the Rapture cannot happen until all the horrifying events of the Tribulation take place. Oh, how utterly foolish are those who deny a pre-tribulation Rapture!

Alex Jones is teaching utter heresy. The Scriptures plainly teach that NO MAN knows WHEN Christ will return...

Mark 13:32-33, “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.”

If the Rapture doesn't happen until after the Tribulation, then we know that the Antichrist must first come, rise to power and be utterly defeated before the Rapture can happen. Obviously then, we would all KNOW exactly WHEN Christ is coming back. But the Bible says no man knows when Jesus is coming back, because there will be a pre-tribulation Rapture (which can occur at any time). Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Jesus plainly teaches that the uncertainty of knowing WHEN Christ will return is a primary motivation for obeying the Lord's will and staying busy for God...

Luke 12:39, 45-46, “And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. ... But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.”

Alex says that believing a pre-tribulation Rapture discourages Christians from fighting against tyranny and the evils of the New World Order, but that is not usually the case. The biggest problem is a misunderstanding of Romans 13.

The false doctrines of a post-tribulation heresy encourages men to live in sin, saying, “My Lord delayeth His coming.” You just read this in Luke 12:39,45-46.

It is ironic that Alex claims a 5-year-old can know the Bible teaches a post-tribulation Rapture, because in fact the opposite is true. A child can conclude that if no man knows when Jesus will come back, then it must happen by surprise! The happenings of the Tribulation are so specific and clearly prophesied that no man could mistake it. We would know exactly when Jesus will return.

We read in Daniel that from the time that the daily sacrifice in the temple is stopped, and the abomination of Desolation happens, there will be 1290 days remaining until the Second Coming of Christ. The Bible even tells us the exact DAY Jesus will return from these events during the middle of the Tribulation. If Alex studied the Bible he'd know this and not make such bold, inaccurate and embarrassing statements to himself.

Daniel 9:27, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

Daniel 11:31, “And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.”

Daniel 12:11, “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.”

I've shared with you 100% irrefutable, conclusive, Biblical evidence that the Bible teaches a pre-tribulation Rapture. Amen and amen!

Alex speaks boldly that the Bible teaches a post-tribulation Rapture, making a fool out of himself. Alex says that the Rapture happens AFTER Christ's return, but he provides no Scriptures to support his claim. It irritates me when anyone makes errant, bold, statements; lashing out against Bible-believing Christians, without backing up what they're saying. I just backed-up my teachings throughly with the Word of God. Any 5-year-old can see that Alex makes bold claims without proving anything. Anyone can make bold accusations, claims and statements; but I have evidenced my position Biblically.

Alex just needs to study the Bible diligently if he's going to teach spiritual matters to tens-of-millions of Bible. I didn't say that, God did! 2nd Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” At 2:27 time on August 14, 2012 on The Alex Jones Show, Alex said that people call him “The Preacher” (and he certainly is). It's unfortunate that Alex preaches a social gospel of religious humanism and restoration of liberty without the new birth in Christ Jesus. It is impossible! Faith in God and liberty are synonymous. Our nation has legalized pornography, abortion and same-sex marriage because we are so far away from God as a people. As a whole we are a rotting corpse! The answer is regeneration. Alex Jones preaches reformation, legislation, education and rehabilitation; but the answer can only be regeneration, by the new birth in Christ Jesus. Ye must be born again (John 3:5).

Many False Prophets In The Last Days

Alex is way off-base on the things is is saying. One thing is quite clear, that is, that Alex Jones is upset with some preachers for exhorting Him as the Bible teaches. Remember, Alex professes to be a Christian who loves the Lord. That one fact invites every Christian (not just preachers) in the world to obey Hebrews 3:12-13, “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Alex is defensive instead of humble to constructive criticism from others, particularly preachers. Correction is always painful, and our ego often hinders us from benefiting from rebukes of wisdom. Proverbs 27:5-6, “Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”

Proverbs 21:30, “There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.”

The Word of God tells us that there is no wisdom, understanding, nor counsel against the Lord. That means that God's opinion is the ONLY opinion that matters. I appreciate Alex Jones exposing the evils of this world, but one area where Alex has shot himself in the foot is in the matter of Bible doctrine. Alex has taken the liberties to make bold spiritual claims that are against the Lord, against the Bible and flat-out lies. I'm talking spiritually now. NO ONE knows more about the New World Order than Alex and I love him for sharing his wealth of information with the world.

Unfortunately Alex is a horrible Bible teacher is teaching doctrines of devils when it comes to spiritual matters. Alex's teachings are saturated with secular humanism. This is the main problem with Alex's Show. As long as Alex makes bold spiritually corrupt statement that mislead millions of people, then you and I have a Biblical duty to refute his false teachings.

The answer is regeneration my friend; not reformation. Alex is trying to reform his listeners through education; but the Bible teaches there can be no reformation until there has first been REGENERATION! Ye must be born-again (John 3:5). It is obvious that Alex doesn't care about preaching the Biblical message that men must be born-again in order to enter into the kingdom of God. It's our nation's greatest need.

Any attempt to better mankind spiritually without the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is religious humanism.

Any attempt to restore liberty in America without repentance toward God is anarchy. Liberty is a gift from God. The Lord gives us liberty, and the Lord takes our liberty away if we disobey His Commandments. Same-sex marriages are a curse upon our country. Abortions are a curse upon our nation. God will not bless this mess. We have sinned as a people! We need to repent toward God of our unbelief and forsake our sins as a nation. It all begins by getting saved. God's blessings cannot fall upon a nation of Christ-rejecters.

Alex encourages listeners who reject the Bible to stand for the sake of freedom, but the truth is that every unbeliever is just another broken link in the chain of freedom. History has evidenced that lack of faith in God leads to tyranny and Communism, which always leads to slavery and collapse of liberty...

“Reason and experience forbid us to expect public morality in the absence of religious principal.” —U.S. President George Washington

What Alex Jones is doing by making such statements is effectively convincing millions of people that all churches are false and no one has the answer! Is Alex saved?
